  Without doubt the worst surgery I have ever seen! The reception staff are rude, and the GP can diagnose and prescribe medications without seeing or even speaking to the patient! And if you try to explain that you do need to see a doctor, you either have to make an appointment for over 7 days later, or you get told to go A&E (even if it isn't an emergency!) The doctors base their diagnosis on a note the receptionist takes from the patient on the phone. I was involved in a car accident a few days ago and have been experiencing worsening pain in my neck and back, so i called for an appointment. Without seeing me, the GP prescribed Naproxen and told me to see how it goes! I CANNOT TAKE NAPROXEN BECAUSE IT CAUSES ME ACID REFLUX AND PAIN! IN MY NOTES!!!! I called a couple of weeks ago to speak to a GP regarding coming off a very strong high dose medication. My doctor informed me to "just stop taking it". When I queried this and explained to another receptionist that I would be in danger if I just stopped, the next advice was "just drop to 300mg a day (from 3600mg) and then stop after two days" My pharmacist told me that if I followed their advice I would end up seriously ill and hospitalised! Oh and if you're wondering whether I complained - yes I have done in the past, using the contact form on the website as advised - and they don't even acknowledge it! I complained because their ridiculous system left me without medication for two days (I am disabled and in chronic pain) and they just shifted responsibility to anywhere else. PICTON SAI ARE THE WORST GP SURGERY, DO NOT REGISTER WITH THEM!
